This is the final unit of our course. In the previous five units, we
have taken the curriculum apart, piece by piece. We have looked at the
elements that make it up, from the terminology to the principles, from
writing objectives to designing tasks and setting up rubrics to assess
them. Then we assessed
ourselves and refined our lessons.
Now we are just about ready to put the curriculum back together again.
Before we put the curriculum back together again, we will have a look
at how grammar and voabulary fit in. This is
the subject of our first activity in this unit.
The aim of the second and final activity is for
you to build your individual lesson plan within the framework of a unit.
This, of course, integrates the grammar and vocabulary from the first
activity as well and gives you an overview of how and where everything
you have done till now fits into the entire scheme of the new curriculum.
We feel that this final process is perhaps the
most important activity you will do in that it integrates all the work
we have accomplished so far.
