Home Page Wrapping it up Putting it all together: Designing a unit Teaching hand-in-hand with classroom assessment Digging in more deeply: Applying the terminology Making friends with the curriculum: Coming to terms with the terms Introduction

Introduction

Now that you are more familiar with the terms and structure in the new curriculum, it is time to dig in more deeply and apply the terminology we have learnt.

In this unit we will concentrate on implementing material within the framework of the new curriculum, but this is only a part of the puzzle. Once you have completed Unit 4, which deals with assessment, the pieces will fall together and create a clear picture.

Look through the whole unit before you begin working so that you can get an idea of the build-up of the stages and tasks in the unit. There are 4 activities in this unit.

Due dates for the activities are:

Activity 1 Wider Picture Forum

March 1st

10 points

Activity 2 Process thinking March 8th
Activity 3 The Metaforum March 12th
Activity 4 Writing an activity March 18th

90 points

First, let's have a look at our objectives for the unit. Remember to pay special attention to how these objectives are written. We will discuss them in more detail in the next unit.
